The Croatian-Serbian stand-up comedy show “KAJ BRE?!” is coming to Eindhoven for the first time, at the festival's request.
(Ticket price includes: coat check and a drink during intermission)
This educational and award-winning show, which breaks down prejudices, is a brilliant stand-up exchange between a Croatian woman and a Serbian man, symbolically titled “Kaj bre?!”.
In this show, Marina Orsag and Aleksandar Perišić perfectly play with the issues in Croatian-Serbian relations.
Both were part of the pioneer generation and grew up in the former Yugoslavia, experiencing its breakup and the creation of new countries.
How this has affected them and how they experience relations between these two countries thirty years later can be seen and heard in this most-watched and most-awarded stand-up show in the Balkans.
The idea came about after three years of working together and realizing that tensions still exist between the Croatian and Serbian peoples, which isn’t exactly the best thing for the future of the youth in both countries; and since humor is the best weapon to fight against that, “KAJ BRE?!” was conceived ” was conceived.
The show has thrilled audiences in many cities across Croatia, Serbia, and Austria, and has been performed over 120 times in its seven-year run. The 100th performance took place at SC Kino in Zagreb in front of a thousand attendees. For creating the show, Marina received the European Hero of Humor award in Amsterdam in 2018.
We look forward to delighting audiences and breaking down prejudices in your city as well.
