‘Sgt. Pepper's' was The Beatles' most revolutionary album. Cello Octet Amsterdam is going to play an arrangement of the most influential pop album of all time.

With the release of 'Sgt. Pepper's' in 1967, all the rules of pop and rock music were broken. No separate songs but a concept album for which they recorded unprecedented experiments in the studio, because they knew they would never perform them live anyway.

How will 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' or 'A Day in the Life' sound on eight cellos? An enormous technical and artistic challenge that only a very experienced craftsman and great creative mind, who also happens to be a pop and rock expert, can take on. Actually, there is only one person to entrust this to: the Dutch-American composer, guitarist and pop singer David Dramm. The iconic songs – which are still groundbreaking and catchy – will sound like never before.

The art world’s excitement generated by 'Sgt. Pepper's' is tangible in the stage setting. The natural background for the iconic album is created by psychedelic design, pop art and Indian motifs, which also reflect the spirit of the times. Design and projections create a setting that portrays the Octet as a revolutionary cello band.
